We're partnering with a growing manufacturing organization seeking a Cost Accountant to support production finance, inventory accuracy, and operational decision-making. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys digging into numbers, improving processes, and working closely with operations.
Maintain and update standard costs while reviewing production variances and cost drivers
Reconcile inventory and WIP accounts and support ongoing inventory control activities
Participate in cycle counts, physical inventories, and discrepancy investigations
Prepare cost reports, margin analysis, and month-end close entries
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and KPI tracking for manufacturing operations
Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain to improve cost accuracy and support new product costing
Identify opportunities to streamline processes and strengthen internal controls
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
2-5+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing setting
Strong understanding of standard costing and ERP systems
Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability
Ability to communicate financial insights to non-finance teams
Solid knowledge of GAAP and strong attention to detail
